[It was mid-afternoon in Luceti and about an hour or so had passed since Jake came to and found himself not where he was supposed to be. After the initial shock, he managed to work out the journal and heard about some guide that led him to re-locate his things. Now he was taking stroll through the village. None of the technicalities of this place made sense to him, but he got the idea that he was stuck playing prisoner. That was what it all concluded to really. Nothing new to him, though this beats China's facilities any day. Was he happy? Not in the least. He was in the middle of something pretty damn important, like stopping an epidemic. Yea, he read that time would stop, but just leaving the job undone, when they were so close was pretty frustrating. Besides, he was still skeptical about a lot of things about this place.
He came to a halt in front of House 31, and gave it a look over. He walked around and locates a window. It looked like no one was staying in this house and it was surrounded by other homes that didn't have inhabitants in them either. Perfect. This particular window was facing the river and CB4. Anyone who happened by or just looked in the direction of the river would probably notice an explosion that was set off by a grenade. On closer inspection, a window had been blown off and took a chunk of the wall with it.
A few minutes after that, Jake goes on the journal.]

So how much of a beating can this place take before the magic repairman stops coming by to fix everything?
[People can probably hear the the river, as he had moved himself away from House 31.]
Also, this is to anyone who got dumped here from Earth, if the words "Neo-Umbrella", "B.S.A.A." or "C-virus" sound familiar to you, talk to me. If you don't know know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky, I guess.
[...Should he mention Sherry? No, she'd likely answer this if she was really here. Anyone from home could be here afterall]
Just wanted to get an idea of how many people are on the same page as me.

Edonia. Her job was to fetch some guy there who was immune to the C-Virus so a vaccine could be made.
[ voice ]
[ in her own present, there isn't yet any discussion of sherry becoming an agent with anyone. had there been, claire would have had some choice words to say on the matter. ]
[ voice ]
Little Sherry grew up and got promoted to agent at some point. It was Simmons who gave her the order, but he turned out to be a real nutjob.
[ voice ]
sadly, that letter was destined to be intercepted. ] And where do you fit into this tale, Jake?
[ voice ]
Flatly, he gives her response.]
The guy I told you about that was immune to the C-Virus? Well, you're talking to him.
[ voice ]
[ hmm. of course, she has no way of knowing whether sherry approved of the mercenary. but if she knew the girl well enough eight years prior to what was now being discussed, claire knew that sherry wouldn't abandon someone so vital to the cause.
in that case, claire ought not to abandon him either. ]
[ voice ]
[They were so close. After everything they went through, fate decided to keep making things difficult.]
Are we done with the 20 questions now?
[ voice ]
How is she?
[ voice ]
...She's doing fine. She handles herself all right as an agent. Probably happy she's doing this than...not being able to go anywhere.
[ voice ]
[ but she gets to visit her -- as often as she can. it's better than nothing. ] Eight years. God, she's gonna be great.
[ voice ]
...Well if it's any consolation you mean a lot to her. I bet she knew you would had gotten her out in a heartbeat if you could.
it was ghost space!
so: ] Have you found anyone else from -- uhm -- home? Because before you, I was sure it was only me.

Unless we got some shy people, it's just us so far.
