[It was mid-afternoon in Luceti and about an hour or so had passed since Jake came to and found himself not where he was supposed to be. After the initial shock, he managed to work out the journal and heard about some guide that led him to re-locate his things. Now he was taking stroll through the village. None of the technicalities of this place made sense to him, but he got the idea that he was stuck playing prisoner. That was what it all concluded to really. Nothing new to him, though this beats China's facilities any day. Was he happy? Not in the least. He was in the middle of something pretty damn important, like stopping an epidemic. Yea, he read that time would stop, but just leaving the job undone, when they were so close was pretty frustrating. Besides, he was still skeptical about a lot of things about this place.
He came to a halt in front of House 31, and gave it a look over. He walked around and locates a window. It looked like no one was staying in this house and it was surrounded by other homes that didn't have inhabitants in them either. Perfect. This particular window was facing the river and CB4. Anyone who happened by or just looked in the direction of the river would probably notice an explosion that was set off by a grenade. On closer inspection, a window had been blown off and took a chunk of the wall with it.
A few minutes after that, Jake goes on the journal.]
[Voice]
So how much of a beating can this place take before the magic repairman stops coming by to fix everything?
[People can probably hear the the river, as he had moved himself away from House 31.]
Also, this is to anyone who got dumped here from Earth, if the words "Neo-Umbrella", "B.S.A.A." or "C-virus" sound familiar to you, talk to me. If you don't know know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky, I guess.
[...Should he mention Sherry? No, she'd likely answer this if she was really here. Anyone from home could be here afterall]
Just wanted to get an idea of how many people are on the same page as me.

but something else -- and perhaps something far worse -- manages to catch her attention more firmly: ] W-wait. Neo-Umbrella?
[ well, shit. nothing about that sounds even remotely good. and who's this guy, so cavalierly naming such a terrifying concept. claire hopes it's only a concept. ]
[ voice ]
The only Umbrella I know. New management, and hellbent on destroying people's lives.
[ voice ]
claire sighs. ] Same motto as the old Umbrella, then. [ it's hard for her not to sound a little...perturbed. a lot disappointed. ]
[ voice ]
It sounds like you had a few encounters with the old Umbrella, but you don't know about the new one. When was the last time you heard about them?
[ voice ]
I was...in contact with one of their ex-researched as recently as a few days ago. Shortly before showing up here, to be honest. [ it's a coincidence she doesn't like. not one bit. but downing was taken into custody, so he couldn't have anything to do with this.
could he? ]

Claire asked about the "B.S.A.A." thing! That's a government Earth thing, right?
An' the other thing depends on if the building has automatic repairs at all. Not all places do, you know.
voice;
You know a Claire here and she knows about the BSAA? [...Was this the same Claire Redfield he heard about from Sherry? He'll get back to the building part later. Maybe] Did she give you her last name?
voice;
Yep! She's a new feather, too, like you. I don't know her last name, though. She didn't mention it. [ Shrug. For a kid without a last name, last names are generally...unimportant? ]
voice;
I'll just have to ask later. Who are you, anyway kid? Your parents know you're having conversations with strangers?

...New Feather cycles are so stressful.]
There are some buildings made by the people of Luceti which do not repair themselves. If it is not too forward of me, I ask that one is careful in his choice of buildings to beat.
voice;
I heard and read up on a few of those buildings. Empty houses wasn't on there.
voice;
Ah...Yes, I suppose if no owner is present, one may find no harm in choosing empty homes.
...
...But might I ask why you have chosen to beat houses?
voice;
I never said I was going to personally go around and destroy homes. I just wanted to know much this place can handle.

If that gives you a baseline indicator, eh.

So much for indoor remodeling. And yea, that's perfect. I was going for a few hours with this one. A day is too long a wait.

Sounds like a real party. Don't get along with your roommates?
[voice]
That's one way of putting it. Why is it that you needed to know? Do you have the same problem? Living with brainless idiots, that is.
[voice]
Nah. Just curious about this magical self-repairing building business. Buildings don't do that where I'm from.

...Noisy idiots ruining a peaceful afternoon. Peh.

It's just one window, lady.
[Action]
...A window and half a wall. Remodeling, are you?
[Action]
Yea, I really hated the view. [He puts some weight on his other foot, crossing his arms.]
I heard the buildings around here repair themselves.
